CEO Of 3Music Awards, Sadiq Reveals Stonebwoy Won ‘Digital Act Of The Year’ Award But Was Gifted To Shatta Wale?

Now, this comment by the CEO of 3Music Awards, Sadiq Abdulai Abu sighted under a Facebook post will definitely spark controversies and somehow back the assertion of many music lovers that the award scheme is fake!

Sadiq in his comment mistakenly said that Stonebwoy won “Digital Act of the Year” award but that isn’t the case, it’s rather Shatta Wale who won that award on the night.

all VGMA results are certified by KPMG but still what do we see? The people who are supposed to know better keep doing this and it’s makes me wonder what really their genuine interest is. For Phylx Akakposince his favourite was nominated and his favourite act Stonebwoy didn’t win then its all fake. Meanwhile he’s not provided any evidence to suggest wrong on our part. Meanwhile the same Stonebwoy won Album and Digital act of the year? Are these fake as well? Meanwhile, I doubt if Phylx himself voted atleast once for any of his favourite talents. Meanwhile he is here expecting his favourite talent to win against one that which his fans voted for? Interestingly and on another hand he will come here complaining of “pull him down” in relation to Nam 1”.

Sadiq was replying to one Nii Offei Dodoo after he said the results of the 3Music Awards didn’t make sense.

Stonebwoy on the night won “Album of the year”, “Afrobeats song of the Year” and “Most Streamed Artiste on Boomplay”.

Shatta Wale on the other hand grabbed;

  1. Viral Song Of The Year – Gringo
  2. Reggae/Dancehall song of the year
  3. Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the year
  4. Digital Act Of The Year
  5. Fan Army Of The Year
  6. Video Of The Year- Gringo
  7. Music Man Of The Year
  8. Song Of The Year- My Level

Sadiq’s comment may be a mistake but since it’s coming from the CEO himself, music lovers will definitely dig deep into it and draw their own conclusions ─whether positive or negative.
