Chelsea come into this final on the back of a seven-game unbeaten run in all competitions, having knocked Eintracht Frankfurt out of the Europa League semi-finals on penalties. They had a strong finish to the season to take third spot in the Premier League, meaning they’ve already qualified for next season’s Champions League group stages.
Arsenal, meanwhile, had a slightly more disappointing end to the campaign, allowing an automatic Champions League spot to slip out of their hands following a calamitous week in which they lost to Crystal Palace, Wolves and Leicester.
Arsenal’s usually reliable attack failed to show up. The usually poor back line showed up big time which caused Arsenal’s huge humiliation.
The Europa League Finals ended 4-1.
