Western Regional Football Chairman, Kojo Yankah has reiterated that the Federation of International Football (FIFA) cannot dissolve the Executive Committee of the defunct Ghana Football Association.
Following a series of legal battles between the GFA and the Government, FIFA and Government of Ghana came to an understanding to form a Normalisation Committee to replace the EXCO.
In an interview with Ohene Bampoe–Brenya on Happy FM‘s Anopa Bosuo Sports, the outspoken Western Regional FA chief emphatically stated that the world’s football governing body have no right to dissolve the GFA Executive Committee and they will take over when the Normalisation Committee is done with their duty.
“I still standby my views that FIFA has not dissolve Exco. The vacant positions are those who were captured and to be proven guilty.”
“Replacing Exco members doesn’t mean that Exco will be dissolved. The Normalization committee won’t stay here forever. We will take over after the Normalization.”
“My position is not vacant. I’m still Exco member because I haven’t committed any crime.”
