Over the years, several music lovers and industry players have criticized the works of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO), stressing that they are not excited with their operations for distributing royalties to musicians.
However adding his thoughts, Gospel musician Nicholas Omane Acheampong has declared that, this current GHAMRO under the leadership of Rex Omar is the worst in Ghana’s history.
Speaking on Happy FMs’ Showbiz Xtra with Dr. Cann, “he said, “to be sincere, administratively this current GHAMRO is the worst. I am telling you, but I don’t know about what some people think. This is the worst when it comes to administration” in response to whether he has a problem with how GHAMRO works.
The “Tabitha Kum” hit maker explained that, in terms of administrative work GHAMRO is not on top of their game but he can not mention names of individuals directly responsible for the mishaps due to the respect he has for Rex Omar who is the chairman and Agya Abraham who is also the administrator.
“For me I don’t have a particular personality, because I have massive respect for Rex Omar who is our boss and Agya Abraham is also my father, he taught me a lot when I started music. Until leadership will be upright and truthful, things won’t work well” he clarified.
Omane Acheampong is currently on a media tour, promoting his new track ‘ Adaka ft Great Ampong.
