Ghana Must Watch Out For Chefeas, An America Based Ghanaian Artiste

Jefferey Awuah Donkor is America based Ghanaian artiste known in the music scene as Chefeas.

Born to Mrs Georgina Sekyere and Mr Stephen Donkor, he grew up in Amakom in Kumasi.

He attended Pentecost Preparatory JHS and Asanteman SHS in Kumasi. In his second year at Asanteman, he got a visa to travel to the United States where has been living since he was 16 years old. He continued his high school education at Harry S. Truman High School in Bronx, New York. He later further his education at Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn but dropped out to take his music career seriously.

In New York he always wrote raps and practiced his craft when sometimes he would kick a freestyle to his friends and a few times they would go to the studio to record some songs. At the age of 17 he realized that he had perfected forte as a rapper and could strong-arm his way into the music scene due to his versatility as an artiste.

From 2009 to 2016, Chefeas recorded some demos, but in 2018 he had a song which attested to his disbelief in such that he came to the realization that he was ready for the industry in Ghana.

Now in 2021 he has released three songs. The songs are “Ole Beaux”, “Half a Lady” and “Get Fine”.
