Ghanaian gospel artist, Joojo Eshun is breaking boundaries with his Able God single which has been evident at the Contemporary Gospel Music Awards 2019 nominations made on Tuesday, 2nd July, 2019.
The ‘Give thanks and Able God’ singer scooped it’s way into the most promising male act of the year alongside Kyei Mensah, Ps. Emmit Konadu, Siboat among others.
In an exclusive interview with 3jpromoafrica, he said, “even though it’s not been long since he released his new song “Able God” but has gotten this nomination which happens to be his first, since he officially started his music career about a year ago. I appreciate the recognition and it makes me understand that hard work pays. I would also like to use this medium to plead with everyone to keep on supporting and praying with us”
Other artistes such as gospel music icons Joe mettle, Cwesi Oteng, Akesse Brempong, Denzel Prempeh, Niella, Helen Yawson, Diana Hamilton, Alexandra, Efe Grace and many other gospel musicians and groups, got nominations in various categories of the 2019 maiden edition of CGM Awards Ghana.
Contemporary Gospel Music Awards (CGM AWARDS) Ghana scheme is designed to foster the development of the Ghanaian contemporary gospel music industry.
The awards seek to encourage, motivate and inspire gospel talents and Christian activities and ventures to attain excellence in their ministries and businesses, and also enhance their labor of love for the expansion of the Kingdom of God.
The award is mainly a public choice award which allows the public 70% voting power to decide who wins what.
The rest of the thirty percent (30%) power is with the board members. According to the board, procedures to vote for respective categories are still underway and would be made available to the general public as soon as its ready.
