Uncle Ebo Accuses Akatakyie Of Stealing His Song

Music duo Akatakyie just added their names to the long list of popular Ghanaian artistes accused of stealing songs.

Highlife singer Uncle Ebo has accused Akatakyie for pilfering his song “Sure Banker” which has the same arrangements chorus settings as one of Akatakyie’s latest works also titled “Sure Banker”.

In fact, when we listened to the two songs, the similarities in the songs were obviously striking and it was clear that somebody stole another’s song.

Uncle Ebo claimed that, after recording the song sent it to some industry players like Abeiku Santana, Sammy Flex, Zap Mallet and others for support, approval and their response on the song. He mentioned names like Kofi Kinaata, Kindee, Awal and many others who were in the studio when he recorded the song.

According to Uncle Ebo, he was overly aghast when he heard the release of on air as a song belonging to the latest music duo Akatakyie.

Uncle Ebo, however, does not intend to take the matter to court but only wants to raise awareness because many artistes treated this way are not given the chance to talk in such matters.
